CEREC
What is a CAD restoration?
During the procedure a digital impression of your tooth to be treated is taken, your new tooth is designed using the latest 3D imaging software and then it is milled onsite from a high quality block of ceramic before being fitted. This groundbreaking technology also permits restorations to be completed in one visit.
This technique has many advantages over the traditional method:
- One visit
- One injection
- No impressions
- No temporary crowns
- The exceptional accuracy of the 3D CAD camera means that generally only old filling material or decayed tooth has to be removed and it is much more conservative that traditional crown work
- The crowns have no metal in them
E-max crowns are exceptionally strong and when they are glazed in our vacuum ceramic furnace they have exceptional aesthetics.
